Beatles icon Sir Sir Ringo Starr is releasing 500 statues of his well-known Peace and Love hand symbol, to raise funds for the Lotus Foundation, a charity which helps people suffering substance abuse, domestic abuse and homelessness.

The British singer broke the news on Instagram, posting 'I also made 500 life size "Peace and Love" sculptures and all proceeds will go to the Lotus Foundation, which you can get through @juliens_auctions. Peace and love'.
